Ciao! I’m Krista…

Being a mom, a wife, a potter, and a photographer, I live a life shaped by creativity, love, and connection. I find joy in molding clay just as I do in capturing fleeting moments through my lens, each piece, each photo, a reflection of the life I cherish. Traveling opens my heart to new cultures and stories, with a special love for Italy, its rich history, vibrant culture, and deep artistic soul feel like home to me. Salsa dancing keeps my spirit alive and my body moving with rhythm and passion. I am always drawn to the outdoors, where I find healing and peace in the simplicity of nature, whether it's a quiet walk, a moment of stillness under the sun, or the grounding presence of trees and open sky. I'm deeply rooted in the light and laughter of everyday life, surrounded by friends and family who are my anchor and my inspiration. Life, for me, is about embracing beauty, chasing joy, healing in nature, and holding close the people and moments that matter most. La Luce, Italian for "the light" is a name that speaks to the heart of it all: the way light finds its way into everything I love, everything I create, and everything I hope to share.

Working with clay is more than a craft, it's a grounding, centering practice that brings me back to myself. The moment my hands touch the earth, everything else quiets; the noise, the rush, the weight of the day. There's something deeply meditative and healing about shaping something from nothing, letting the process guide you as much as you guide it. Teaching pottery has allowed me to share that transformation with others, watching students not only create beautiful work but also connect more deeply with themselves. Whether they come to the wheel or hand building with stress, grief, or simply curiosity, they often leave lighter, more focused, and surprised by their own creativity. Clay has a way of revealing truth and presence, and it's a gift to witness its quiet, powerful magic in both my own life and the lives of those I teach. I look forward to meeting you!
